How to Build a Paired Campaign (Multiple Paired Lists)
Note: If you’re new to building campaigns in SpeedPPC, you may want to check out our help articles on How to Build a Single Keyword Ad Group Campaign (Single List), How to Build a Single Keyword Ad Group Campaign (Multiple Lists), and How to Build a Paired Campaign (One Paired List), as this article will skip some of the more basic steps covered there.
Quick start video
In the article on building a Paired Campaign with one paired list, we talked about how the Paired Campaign type can be used so that each seed keyword has its own URL (as you might use so that all your product keywords each have an ad that goes to the specific product page). When you add additional expansion lists, you can combine this capability with SpeedPPC's power to methodically create designated variations of your seed keywords, so that you can most effectively target a large number of keywords and cover all your bases. These kinds of campaigns allow you to push SpeedPPC's capabilities to the max!
Start on the first screen by choosing Paired as the campaign type and either "Combine Two Keyword Lists" or "Combine Three Keyword Lists."
On the Keyword Setup tab, you'll see three keyword boxes if you chose two keyword lists, and four keyword boxes if you chose three keyword lists. The last, extra box is for your URLs. As with Paired Campaigns with one list, when entering your keywords, you'll want to make sure that each Seed keyword is on the same line as its corresponding URL.
The example below shows a completed Keyword Setup tab for a campaign with two keyword lists.
And this next screenshot below shows a completed Keyword Setup tab for a campaign with three keyword lists. Note that for both types of campaigns, while the Final URL field is automatically filled out for you, you'll need to enter your Final Mobile URL according to your website's mobile URL specs (for example, if your mobile site is on a separate domain).
Note that however many lists you have, in the files that SpeedPPC creates for you, all of the final keywords for a particular seed keyword will be grouped together into an ad group for that particular Seed keyword. For example, the final keywords widget 1001A blue, widget 1001A red, widget 1001A green, and widget 1001A purple will all go in the Widget 1001A ad group.
For the Advanced Options tab at the bottom of the Keyword Setup screen, if you have a campaign with two keyword lists, you'll want to choose "Mix & Pair" as the option for "Mix Type" (this should be the default).
If you have a campaign with three keyword lists, "Mix & Pair with Expansion3 URL" will be your Mix Type instead.
For the rest of the tabs, you can follow the same instructions as Paired Campaigns with one list. You now know all you need to know to create Paired Campaigns with multiple keyword lists and are ready to kill it with these campaigns!
